Weight Gain.
Hi, I'm very glad to see you. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. I also podcast at New Market Survival Guide and I ALWAYS appreciate comments. Thanks for visiting--this message will go away after the third or forth time you're here.
My weight has reached some sort of terminal velocity. This is the first year since 2001 that I haven’t put on at least 12 pounds. At least. I finished the year down a few from where I started, but the holiday eating fest was something that I did do. So it’s time to lose my standard issue Columbus obesity.
By April 10, 2007, I’m committed to losing 65 pounds.
Right now, I weigh as much as some pretty scary NFL players.
(1) Diet: Like I said before, I’m not going to eat "marginally" differently. I’m preparing my food on the weekends, and I’m going to do what it takes to actually do it. Sunday-Friday (Saturdays of), i’m going to stick to a slow carb, 1300-1500 calorie diet.
No white flour, or any rice, potatoes. No sugar
Massive doses of H20.
(2) Exercise: Over the next 100 days: weights 3 days, cardio every day, and endurance one day. Endurance won’t be much right now because being 80# overweight (and coming to terms with admitting it) limits some options. I’m also doing speed work on the track. Fat as I am, I can still move for a shocking amount of time.
The main workout plan.
MWF- Weights (45-50 minutes) + 30 minutes worth of intense cardio.
TRS: Cardio: 35 minutes intense/35 minutes fat burning.
Saturday: Distance. (right now, probably 60 minutes–for a total of 95).
(3) Supplements:
This is an area I’m unaware of and probably mistrustful of. I think that gains can be made with proper supplementing, intellectually it makes sense, but the channel is so full of noise. I think I need to seek out some credible fitness blogs and imitate that behavior. I miss the old school Ma Haung ripped fuel. That’s how I went from 230-175 in 2000.
