However, I'd like to add that there is no better time to slow down than at the very beginning of a relationship. Everyone works a bit differently and taking a few extra minutes to understand the person you're working with can lead to flawless exchanges in the future. I know that as a freelancer just starting out, I have an awful lot to learn, and look for those who know better to teach me. If I seek clarity in the dawn of a relationship, it is precisely because I endeavor to be proficient, not because I lack professionalism. I agree.
