Freelance Sales Video: How To Stop Chasing Your F#@!%ing Tail

Hey--welcome! First off--thanks for finding me. Second off--I promise to give you the best information I can find. I'd like you to subscribe via RSS or in email. Third: I am interested in you. Please give me a comment with the blog post or site or THING that you're most proud of.

LOADS of freelancers chase their tails.   Don’t be one of ‘em.

Look–following up with people over and over and over…

…doesn’t get your bills paid.

Make a rule, stick to it.

Me?  I follow up 3 times and then call it a day.

Completely agree.

If someone calls me requesting a call back or email I will try three times w/ voicemails and a couple of emails.

If they don’t respond then I just wait until they call again. I don’t have enough time to chase them.

Very good concept to remind ourselves about – but I also add something additional, I’ll get ‘uncomfortably comfortable’ in my last follow-up email or voicemail and ask them flat out if their initial interest or need was already satisfied or is budget an issue? I will literally ask them to either tell me they’re still interested or now, so we can put this issue to bed.
