One killer feature of Google Desktop is the fact that it gives you instantaneous access to search. Hitting Double Click Ctrl brings up at thought-speeds the search box:
You type, hit enter, and it opens a search page. You can alt-tab back to what you were doing, the search is waiting for you.
What I want–and it’s a call to all the #lifehacker types out there…is to make something this fast…to work with Double-ALT.
For notes/notebook.
The only function that matters is speed. Double-ALT AND up pops–as fast as Google’s search bar–something to enter…
…and double alt to dismiss. So in the middle of a blog post, when a thought sparks another one, you double alt…type it, and double alt again.
Come on, Hive, help a GTD’er out!
