Great sidebar. You have made quite a change in careers and I wish you all the best as you move forward. Starting your new year now makes a lot of sense. Most people do fritter away their time between Thanksgiving and New Years, even those who aren’t into the holiday season. They seem to use it as an excuse to back off.

With your plan, you will have a running start on those who wait until next year to get themselves motivated to get back into business.

Also, good luck with the fitness regimen and weight loss. Going public like this can be quite the motivator. I’m looking forward to reading your success story in the future.

I also like the idea that your New Year starts now. I often noticed that people procrastinate making positive change in their lives by saying they’ll start new month, or next year. If something is worth doing, start now!

I especially like the “Bids Out” line item … I always count this numerically by clients or projects (i.e. bid on 7 projects), but counting by dollar amount makes MUCH more sense. Thanks for the idea!
